Minolta Pās
Iāve had an obsession with the Hasselblad xpan for quite sometime. Ever since I learned what anamorphic lenses were, I have been wanting to shoot in something that reminds me of that squeezed look. I remember maybe a in 2019 I saw one for $1,500 and thought that price was insane. Looking at ebay prices now have me kicking myself. I picked up this minolta Pās.Its a 35mm film camera that shoots in panoramic images with a ratio of 2.7 to 1. The view finder is a fun experience because you are forced to shoot in only panos. I Shot through this first test roll in a day. I usually take my time but I was excited to look through this viewfinder all day and see how it made me frame shots differently. My buddy Kyle and I worked for Fox sports this day. we were running their Football and baseball youtube interview shows. I honestly knew the least about sports on that whole lot. We wondered around the fake New york set at lunch.
The rest of the photos were on a hike with my pup to the kenter park trail in the Santa monica mountains. The telephone lines looked like a zipline that follows the crest of the mountain. And just another epic California Sunset with some fog so yes Im gonna nerd out with this pano camera.
