Lisa Aldridge is committed to making sure they feel that way through her nonprofit The Beauty Board, offering beauty makeovers to single moms and women transitioning out of homelessness. Lisa was inspired by her abuela, Lala, who would give clothes and food to anyone in the community who was in need, and Lisa loved being able to bring a little bit of joy to people. Now with The Beauty Board, she gets to do the same, while reminding the women she helps that the situation they're in is just temporary and that they have a lot to offer this world.
